I readily admit I have checked stats on players bent on telling me and/or others how to play the game. I consider pretty much any serious suggestion about the game from anybody, regardless of stats. It is still up to you - no body can run your ships the way you do. You ask for advise - you get suggestions. To be honest I thought if you have good stats posted maybe that was trigger for hackers to get your account and sell it or something like that. Are you a mechanic? No I do not own a car but it makes sense to me.) (You should do this to your car to make it run better. I do not think that is wrong, and I do think that is something you would do IRL also. If someone claims to know a lot about Battle Ships and offers you expert advice on what skills to choose and you later see they have a total of 50 battles and only 3 are in a Battle Ship, I would discount that advise some. That said though, many people post asking for advice and stats are a way to check credibility of those whose advice you may take. I can fully understand "Stat Shaming", it is wrong and against posting rules I believe.
